Cabin Baggage for Domestic flights: For all classes, One bag with total dimension of 115 cm or two bags with total dimension of 105 cm can be carried in the domestic flights. Each bag or piece should not exceed the weight of 7 Kg.

Cabin Baggage for International flights: In International flights, for Economy class, only one piece or bag is allowed which can be with a maximum weight of 7Kg and dimension should not exceed 115 cm.

For Premium Economy, Business class and First class, two pieces or bags is allowed with each piece not exceeding 7 Kg and the dimension of the bag should not be greater than 115cm.

Checked Baggage for Domestic flights:

  • For Economy Class, the passengers are allowed to take 1 piece with a maximum weight of 23 Kg and for frequent flyers, it is 32 kg(silver). In Gold and Platinum category, passengers are allowed to take 2 pieces with a maximum of 32 each.
  • For Business Class, the passengers are allowed to take 2 pieces with a maximum weight of 32 Kg each and for frequent flyers, it is in silver the allowance is the same. In Gold and Platinum category, passengers are allowed to take 2 pieces and 3 pieces with a maximum of 32 each.

No single item of checked baggage shall exceed 32 kg (70lb)

Checked Baggage for International flights

  • For Economy Class, the weight allowance is 36 kg and for frequent flyers, it is 42 kg (in Silver category), 46 kg (in gold category) and 50 kg (in platinum category)
  • Premium Economy Class, the weight allowance is 40 kg and for frequent flyers, it is 52 kg (in Silver category), 56 kg (in gold category) and 60 kg (in platinum category)
  • In Business Class, the weight allowance is 40 kg and for frequent flyers, 52 kg (in Silver category), 56 kg (in gold category) and 60 kg (in platinum category)
  • In First Class, the weight allowance is 50 kg and for frequent flyers, it is 62 kg (in Silver category), 66 kg (in gold category) and 70 kg (in platinum category).

Web Check-in: We provide check-in directly using web services but check if your flight is available for online check-in. This service speeds up your check-in process by providing you with the option to check in and print your boarding pass directly from your computer. It opens 24 hours before departure of flights and remains open up to 30 minutes (for domestic carriers) and 2 hours (for international carriers) before scheduled departure.

Mobile Check-in: This service opens up 24 hours before and remains open up to 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure of the flight. This service enables you to check in using your phone, but this service is available only for flights within Australia and currently not available for international travel.

Kiosk Check-in: Qantas Airways provides self-serve kiosks which are available for domestic flights within Australia where your boarding passes and bag tags will get printed. Staff is always on hand to offer help whenever needed.

Qantas Airways is a prominent Australian Airline which was found by Hudson Fysh, Paul McGinness and Fergus McMaster in Winton, Queensland on 16 November 1920 with its name as Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited.
