How to book Tatkal tickets? What is Tatkal ticket booking opening time?

Tatkal booking opens for the selected trains at 10:00 am for AC classes and for non-AC classes at 11:00 am, one day in advance of the date of journey. You can either book Tatkal tickets over the counter in a railway station or at IRCTC website. A maximum of only four passengers per PNR can be booked for Tatkal tickets.

Tatkal tickets will be issued for actual distance of travel, instead of end-to-end, subject to the distance restriction applicable to the train. Tatkal seat or berth may be booked in multiple legs till preparation of charts.

Tatkal ticket cancellation and refund policy : No refund will be granted on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets. For waitlisted Tatkal ticket cancellations, charges will be deducted as per existing Railway rules.

Steps to book Tatkal tickets through Paytm

• Login to Paytm account. You can book tatkal train tickets at Paytm after 10 minutes from the opening of bookings. (10:10 am for AC classes and for non-AC classes at 11:10 am)
• Enter source and destination

• Select the Quota as Tatkal and click on “Book” button
• Provide the passenger details
• Select the preferred berth for your travel
