Check-in Baggage

Fliers can carry an Air Iceland Connect baggage weight of 20kgs. Passengers with Air Iceland Connect Business Card can carry two bags of 20 kgs each on both domestic and international flights if they are travelling on the Business Card fare.

You can carry sports equipment, bicycles, weapons, large instruments and even skis as the special Air Iceland Connect check-in baggage size. The same rule applies for International flights too.

Cabin Baggage

Fliers can carry up to 6 kgs in the hand baggage. Passengers are usually requested to keep it to the minimum because of space constraints on board.

• The hand luggage size must not exceed 55x35x20 cm as per Air Iceland Connect baggage size.
• According to Air Iceland Connect baggage policy, any kind of firearm or its replica and imitation is not allowed as hand luggage. Fliers cannot carry sharp or pointed objects, blunt instruments, explosives, inflammable items, chemical and toxic products.
• Passengers cannot carry liquids except if these are containers of 100 ml to one-litre capacity.

Online check-in facility is available on Air Iceland Connect for both domestic and international passengers. The facility is available for the flights departing from Reykjavik Domestic Airport. Check-in begins 24 hours before departure time and closes 45 minutes before for domestic flights and 90 minutes for international flights.

Online check-in is presently unavailable through Keflavik International Airport.

Online Check-in

Online check-in can be done from desktops as well as smartphones and other devices. Fliers will need to enter their name from a booking along with the confirmation number. This Air Iceland Connect Airlines web check-in may be closed due to bad weather conditions before any flight timing. During online check-in, you can select if you want the boarding pass on email, text message, downloaded and printed.

Airport Desk Check-in

Keep all the documentation including passports (in case of international flights) and confirmation number at hand for Air Iceland Connect check-in. You might also need the Air Iceland Connect Airline code.

• Domestic Flight: Passengers should arrive 45 minutes ahead of departure
• International Flight: Passengers should be present at least 90 minutes ahead of departure.

The airline flies from Reykjavik to Akureyri, Isafjordur, and Egilsstadir. Within Iceland, it has flights to Vopnafjordur, Thorshofn, and Grimsey. It also has flights to Kulusuk, Nuuk, Narsarsuaq, Ilulissat, Nerlerit Inaat and Kangerlussuaq in Greenland. Air Iceland Connect started its operation in the year 1937. It was initially called Flugfelag Islands. In May 2017, the name was changed to Air Iceland Connect. In 2011, it acquired the Bombardier Dash 8-200 aircrafts and sold the earlier Dash 8-100 aircrafts. Earlier it had ATR 42 aircrafts. In 2015-16, the Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 replaced the Fokker 50 aircrafts. In the month of February 2018, the airlines focused more on regional destinations. The airlines stopped its services to the UK in May 2018.
