Air Changan is a Chinese domestic airline operating flights to various cities in China. This airline is based in Shaanxi in China. Travellers can book Air Changan flight tickets to travel to more than thirty cities in China.

The airline’s major operational hub is the Xian Xianyang International Airport, China situated in the Shaanxi province. Some of the major destinations it covers include Dalian, Fuzhou, Guilin, Shijiazhuang, Tongliao, Wenzhou, Xi’an, Xining, Yichang, etc.

Cabin/ Hand Baggage:

Passengers are allowed to carry only one cabin baggage (hand purse /laptop/ briefcase). Air Changan Airline baggage policy permits baggage weight of not more than 5 kg. Air Changan baggage size limit is 20 x 40 x 55 cm. The hand baggage shall be appropriate in size to fit in the front row of the passenger or the closed baggage compartment.

Differentiated Checked Baggage Policy:

According to Air Changan baggage policy, the passenger can purchase a baggage allowance of 10/20/30/40 kg. The passenger can purchase the checked baggage allowance as per the actual baggage weight. However, if your actual baggage weight exceeds the limit of the purchased amount, the difference amount must be paid right at the check-in counter.

Air Changan Web Check-in: Web check-in saves the time by offering services like printing your boarding pass directly through your computer system. The passengers can use the web check-in options from the comfort of the office or home before reaching the airport. Furthermore, an e-Boarding pass is sent to your email id provided during the flight booking. It also lets you to check-in your luggage, select your seat and meal options depending on the availability.

Air Changan Flight Status:

Air Changan flight status fetches you the real-time information about the various domestic flights. It also furnishes the actual arrival, departure time as well as the delay time of the flight. During September 1990, the Shaanxi provincial government and local aviation manufacturers together laid the foundation of Changan Airways in response to One Belt and One Road strategy. They planned to operate with only three Xian-X7 aircraft to expand the local economy and aviation in China. Its first successful flight took off on 5 January 1993 from Xi’an to Yulin. The local aviation manufactures left the airline venture due to their resentment with new regulations coming into effect, leaving the airlines totally under control of the local provincial government. Air Changan was purchased by Hainan Airlines (HNA) making it the parent company. Hainan Airlines further merged Changan Airlines, Xinhua Airlines and Shanxi Airlines in October 2002. However, Changan Airlines came back to the business as an independent carrier in May 2016 with Boeing 737-800 aircrafts operating in major cities in China. The IATA Code or Changan Airlines flight code is 9H and ICAO code is CGN.

Since Air Changan was owned by Hainan Airlines(HNA) for most of its operational time, it didn’t secure any individual awards. However, HNA secured a glut of accolades, some of which are:

• December 2011, entered the "BRANDZ Top 50 Most Valuable Chinese Brands" for the first time with a brand value of USD427 million
• January 2012, ranked fifth in the list of the world's safest airlines by the German aviation magazine Aero International which is an authority on airline safety
• March 2012, retained the title of SKYTRAX 5-star Airline
• March 2012, retained the two titles of SKYTRAX as Best Airline in China and Most Outstanding Service in the China Region
• December 2012, remained on BRANDZ's list of the 50 most valuable Chinese brands
• April 2013, certified as a SKYTRAX 5-star Airline for the third time in a row
• October 2013, awarded "Asia's Leading Airline - Economy Class" and "World's Leading Airline - Economy Class" by the World Travel Awards
• October 2015, awarded "Asia's Leading Airline-Business Class", "Asia's Leading Cabin Crew-Business", "Asia's Leading Excellence Inflight Service" by World Travel Awards
