Air Italy is an Italy based company which was formerly Meridiana fly S.p.A. It has been now reorganized to be named Air Italy by its owners Qatar Airways and Alisarda S.p.A. with effect from 1 March 2018. Air Italy Airline code is IG (IATA) and ISS (ICAO). The Airline has its headquarters in Olbia, Italy.

Check-in Baggage
Domestic flights:
Air Italy baggage policy sets the limit of one bag with weight not more than 23 kg in Economy Classic Class and in Economy Premium Class the baggage allowance is two bags with each bag not exceeding 23 Kg. In Fly-pass Classic Class, the passengers are allowed to carry single bag that not weighs more than 32 Kg whereas in Fly-pass Premium Class, it is two bags that can be carried with each bag not greater than 32 Kg.
International Flights:
Air Italy baggage Checked baggage weight for domestic and international flights is same but additionally there is Business Promo Flex and Business Fly-pass Promo Flex Class. The passengers who have booked air tickets in Business Promo Flex Class and Business Fly-pass Promo Flex Class can carry a maximum of two bags with each bag not exceeding 32 Kg.
The Air Italy check-in baggage size should not exceed 158 cm (length+width+height) in total which is inclusive of all straps, wheels, and pockets.
Cabin Baggage
Air Italy baggage weight limit for cabin bags is to a maximum of 8 kg with an allowance of only one bag per passenger. Air Italy Airline baggage size as per the baggage policy for cabin bags is 55cm X 40cm X 20cm. However, a personal handbag or laptop bag not more than 40cm X 30cm X15cm is also allowed in addition to the cabin baggage.

Intercontinental Flights
The check-in procedure opens 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight and closes 1 hour before departure.
For flights to and from Dakar, Accra, and Lagos, the check-in is opened 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight and closes 90 minutes before departure.
For flights to and from USA and Cuba, the check-in is opened 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight and closes 60 minutes before departure.
International Flights
The check-in procedure opens 2 hours 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight and closes 45 minutes before departure.
For flights to and from Cairo, the check-in is opened 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight and closes 60 minutes before departure.
Domestic Flights
The check-in procedure opens 2 hours 30 prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight and closes 35 minutes before departure.
Web Check-in
Air Italy web check-in facility is available only to a limited number of flights operating from Bergamo, Catania, Lamezia Terme, London, Miami, Moscow, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Venice and Verona, Bologna, Cairo, Milan Linate/Malpensa, New York, Olbia, Sharm El Sheikh, and Turin.

Air Italy was found in the February 2018. This airline commenced its operations from 1st March 2018. This is also the youngest airline in Italy which is owned by AQA Holding, formed by Alisarda and Qatar Airways. All the aircraft from the previous brand name Meridiana is transferred to Air Italy. This airline was formed with the aim to become the stable and standard flag carrier in Italy.
The head office of this airline is present at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport in Olbia, Sardinia which was formerly managed by the Meridiana Airlines.
