XiamenAir is one of the leading Chinese passenger airlines. This airline started its operation in the year 1984 and based in Xiamen, Fujian Province. This passenger airline serves both international flights as well as domestic flights to more than 65 destinations. The airlines have a Frequent-flyer program called the Egret Card. XiamenAir has its primary and secondary hubs located in three airports. One is at the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in the Fujian Province of China. The last hub is at the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport serving Hangzhou the capital of the Zhejiang Province of China.

Cabin Baggage - As per the XiamenAir baggage policy, the cabin baggage allowance for Economy and Business class is one piece or bag not exceeding the total weight of 5 kg or 11 lbs. Passengers who are travelling on First class can carry two bags or pieces with each piece not exceeding 5 Kg according to XiamenAir baggage weight. An extra 1kg allowance for the overseas student travellers is allowed by the airline. 115cm/45inches is the XiamenAir baggage size fixed by the airline for carrying inside the Cabin.

Checked Baggage - XiamenAir checked baggage size should be a total of 158cm including the total dimension of its length, width, and height.

For flight moving between Mainland China and Hong Kong and for flights flying from China to Europe or Korea or Southeast Asia the baggage allowance is given below.

For Economy class, XiamenAir allowance is one piece with weight not exceeding 23 Kg. The passengers travelling with infants are allowed to carry the additional baggage of 10 Kg. In Business class, passengers can carry two bag or pieces with each bag not exceeding 32 Kg and for First Class, three bags are the total allowance provided with each bag not exceeding the limit of 32 Kg.

For XiamenAir flights between China and Australia or Canada or the USA or Japan, the baggage allowance is as follows.

In Economy and Business Class, the checked baggage is the same (i.e.) two baggage with each baggage not exceeding 23 Kg in Economy Class and 32 Kg in Business Class. In the first class, three bags are allowed with each piece not greater than 32 Kg.

The maximum dimension of checked baggage is 158 cm or 62 inches that are fixed by XiamenAir for all flights.

• Web Check-In: XiamenAir web check-in helps passengers to select the desired seat and check-in using the ticket number and ID document number online without any hassles. The passenger can take print out of the boarding pass from the comfort of his or her place.
• Mobile Check-In: This option is similar to web check-in that can be vailed through the mobile devices. Passengers can avail this particular facility from 24 hours before the actual flight departure time. The boarding pass will be generated and sent to the registered email of the passenger.
• Airport Check-In: This is the regular and most common form of XiamenAir check-in. Here you need to check-in from the airport travel desk itself. You have to avail the boarding pass from the XiamenAir booking counter. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before the actual departure time.

They join flights to the Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, California. After that this airline also connects to the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York as well as the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, Washington. XiamenAir was founded on the 25^th of July 1984 for the primary objective of connecting the province of Fujian to the rest of the country. They started off small, and they sold air tickets only for the domestic passengers initially. They have grown in the last 34 years, and today they have a fleet of about 171 planes and serves over a total of 70 destinations both domestic as well as international. The parent company of this airline is the China Southern Airlines, which owns 55% of the shares in this airline. They have an alliance with the Sky Team and also have an FFP called the Egret Card.
