UDAN “Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik” is a Regional Connectivity Scheme launched by the Government of India with the vision to make air travel affordable & cheaper for all.
The objective of the Udan Scheme is to develop new airports and increase the number of operational airports from 70 to about 150 airports by December, 2018, and connect more than 100 non-operational airports to all major cities and even smaller towns across the country. The Scheme also aims at making airfare financially-viable, capped at approximately Rs. 2,500
