Precision Air, promoting the slogan “You Are Why We Fly,” provides reliable, safe and customer-focused passenger services to Entebbe, Nairobi and airports in Tanzania. It is headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and serves 11 destinations across the world. It was the first Tanzanian airline to pass the IATA Operational Safety Audit successfully. Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam is the main hub of Precision Air Airlines, operating scheduled passenger services to 11 destinations. It also has a mini-hub at Mwanza Airport, a major regional airport in northern Tanzania serving the Mwanza city.

Domestic Travel Baggage Allowance: For domestic flights, Precision Air Airlines baggage policies are underlined below:

Check-in Baggage Allowance

For domestic travel within Tanzania, Precision Air Airlines baggage weight should not exceed 23 kilograms. For infants not occupying a seat, the baggage limit is 10 kilograms + a collapsible stroller.

If the baggage weighs more than 23 kilograms but less than 32 kilograms, an additional charge of TZS 10,000 per kilo will be applicable. For baggage exceeding 32 kilograms or dimension more than 158 cm but less than 50 kilograms, prior approval from RM is required. Additionally, a charge of TZS 300,000 will be applicable.

Cabin Baggage Allowance

As cabin luggage, only one handbag weighing 7 kilograms are allowed. However, the cabin baggage should not exceed the size of 55 x 38 x 22 cm as per Precision Air Airlines baggage size policy. An additional bag can be carried along with the cabin baggage. It may include one ladies handbag or one small camera or overcoat or laptop, reading material, one walking stick, and a collapsible wheelchair and/or a pair of crutches for invalid passengers.

International Travel Baggage Allowance

Check-in Baggage Allowance

For regional or international flights within Africa, Precision Air Airlines check-in baggage allowance is 23 Kg between Tanzania and Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Mozambique respectively. For infants not occupying a seat, the baggage limit for regional/international travel within Africa is 10 Kg + a collapsible stroller.

According to Precision Air check-in baggage policy, if check-in baggage weight is more than 23 kilograms but less than 32 kilograms, an additional charge of USD 06.00 per kilo will be levied. If the baggage exceeds 32 kilograms or is more than 158 cm in size, but less than 50 kilograms, prior approval from RM is required. Additionally, a charge of USD 200.00 will be applicable.

Cabin Baggage Allowance

The cabin baggage allowance for regional/international travel within Africa remains the same as domestic travel.

• Online Web Check-in: Precision Air Airlines web check-in facility helps the passengers to select the desired seat and get the boarding pass from the comfort of their place. The PNR number, Name and surname of the passenger is needed to process the check-in online.
• Airport Check-in: For domestic travel, Precision Air check-in time is at least 60 minutes if you do not carry any check-in luggage and 90 minutes if you carry baggage that has to be checked in.

Passengers who have booked air tickets to travel on the regional/international flights within Africa can check-in three hours before the scheduled departure time, and it ends one hour before the actual flight departure time.

Starting off from its main hub at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, the airline serves different destinations that include Mwanza, Kilimanjaro, Nairobi, Entebbe, Kahama, Seronera, Zanzibar, Arusha, Kigoma, Bukoba, Mtwara, Tabora and Musoma.

Earlier, the airline also served Comoros, which has now been temporarily suspended.

Fleet modernisation programme has been a priority for Precision Air Airlines, ensuring superior comfort, safety and reliability to its passengers and employees. Their fleet consists of five 70-seater ATR 72-500 aircraft, two 48-seater ATR 42-500 aircraft and two 48-seater ATR 42-600 aircraft.
