Nauru Airlines flies across the south and central Pacific for more than 30 years. The airline caters to services with scheduled international flights to seven destinations in Oceania, Pacific Ocean. This airline is based in Yaren district in the Republic of Nauru.

Nauru Airlines main hub is present at Nauru. The airline covers Marshall Islands, Kiribati and the Federated States of Micronesia linking both nations to Fiji and Australia.

Cabin Baggage – Nauru Airlines Baggage Size fixed by the baggage policy for cabin or carry-on baggage is 48x 34x 23 cm. Passengers who have booked air tickets on Pacific Saver Fare can carry a maximum of 23 Kg. For Flexi saver fare and Fully Flexible Fare, the baggage allowance is 25 kg. Nauru Airlines Baggage weight for checked baggage in Premium Business Fare is 45 Kg.

According to Nauru Airlines Baggage policy, the maximum weight of a single bag should not weigh more than 32 Kg and maximum dimension permitted in checked baggage is 158 cm. The excess baggage will be charged per kg and varies according to the destination of the flight.

Airport Check-in – Air Nauru check-in for the flights is available from three hours prior to the departure time and it closes by 60 minutes before the departure time at the airport. The passengers are required to reach the airport at least 90 minutes before the flight departure for completion of immigration and check-in formalities. The passengers are required to be at the boarding gate at least half an hour prior to the departure time.

Nauru Airlines operates across seven destinations including Brisbane, Honiara, Nadi, Yaren, Pohnpei, Majuro, and Tarawa. It is seeking permission to start flight services to Guam in Micronesia.

Nauru Airlines was founded as Air Nauru on 17 September 1969. It started its operations in February 1970 with some experimental services run between Nauru and Brisbane. Regular flight services started in 1972 with airline's first Fokker F28 Fellowship twinjet. Then two additions were made to the fleet Boeing 737-200 (C2-RN3) and Boeing 727-100 (C2-RN4) in the year 1976.

By the year 1983, the fleet also has seven new aircraft, two of them were Boeing 727-100s and five were Boeing 737-200s. At this time, the overall population of the airline was around 8000. The airline has seating capacity equal to 10% of the Nauru population. Slowly the airlines developed and they started leasing some aircraft and also selling to others. In the year 1988, the fleet also had three new Boeing 737-200 and the remaining one was given on lease to Trans Australia Airlines. At that time, the airline was stuck up in an industrial dispute with pilots and it was working without any schedule.

Presently the airline is completely owned by the state. Nauru Airlines online booking and the current website was started in 2007.

Nauru Airlines has got membership awards for five years at the Aviation Aerospace Australia’s Leadership Excellence Awards. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 18 in Melbourne.
