Archaeological Museum: The Archaeological Museum displays a collection of sculptures from around Khajuraho. The wonderful 11th-century statue of Ganesh dancing with his vehicle (a tiny mouse) at his feet, in the entrance hall, is one of the most mesmerizing ones.

Kandariya-Mahadev Temple: The Kandariya-Mahadev was built between 1025 and 1050, and represents the highpoint of Chandela architecture. It is about 30.5m-long, which makes it the largest Western Group temple. Out of the 872 statues in the temple, a majority of them represent female beauty and sexual acrobatics. The temple’s spire (sikhara) is in the shape of a lingam, a phallic Shiva symbol. The spire and pillared pavilion (mandap) are decorated with 84 subsidiary spires, giving a Himalayan mountain-like look to the rooftop.
