Firefly Airline Baggage policy
Hand baggage policy - Firefly Airline baggage policy allows each passenger to carry only one piece of hand-baggage. Firefly Airline baggage weight is limited to 7kg and should be no bigger than 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. The hand-baggage should fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartment. Beside one hand-baggage, flyers are also allowed to carry one personal item such as:
checked baggage policy - For domestic flights: Firefly airlines don’t have any limits for check-in baggage size. However, there are limitations on baggage weight allowed for checked-in baggage. Flyers are allowed to check-in 20 kg of baggage for free. If the Flyers want to carry baggage with weight more than 20 kg, then they have to pay a fee of 60 MYR, 150 MYR and 225 MYR for an additional 5kg, 10kg and 15kg respectively.
For International flights: For international flights, flyers are allowed to carry 20 kg of luggage for free checked baggage. If the Flyers want to carry baggage with weight more than 20 kg, then they have to pay a fee of 80 MYR, 160 MYR and 240 MYR for an additional 5kg, 10kg and 15kg respectively.

Firefly Airline domestic routes
Firefly mostly serves domestic flights within Malaysia. The Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang and Penang International Airport in Penang are the Hubs of Firefly airline. Senai International Airport in Johar Bahru and Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kota Bharu are its secondary hubs. Other destinations within Malaysia, for Firefly Airline, are Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Alor Setar, Sultan Azlan Shah Airport in Ipoh, Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Terengganu, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport in Kuantan and Langkawi International Airport in Langkawi.

Firefly Airline flies to only 3 international destinations in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport in Banda Aceh, Singapore Changi Airport in Singapore and Phuket International Airport in Phuket are the only 3 international destinations for this Airline.

Firefly Airline is a full service providing point-to-point carrier and a complete subordinate of Malaysia Airlines. The airline’s first flight took off on 3 April 2007. The flight flew from Penang to Kota Bharu. It is the first community airline in Malaysia. In July 2008, its, then current fleet was replaced with environment-friendly aircraft.
