History of China Eastern Airlines:

China Eastern Airlines was registered under the Civil Aviation Administration of China Huadong Administration on 1988, June 25. Later in 1997, China Eastern took over the non-profiting China General Aviation by becoming the country's first airline offering shares on the international market. Furthermore, in a joint venture with COSCO, it founded China Cargo Airlines in 1998.
