It covers the whole of Yukon and also flies between Yukon and Alaska, Northwest Territories, British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta. Its charter service runs between Alaska and Canada. It also provides fuel services and handling services to other airlines in Yukon, and ground services at Edmonton International Airport and Vancouver International Airport. The main base of Air North is in Erik Nielson Whitehorse International Airport.

According to the Air North baggage policy if the flier goes to any place like Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Yellowknife, Kelowna, Victoria and Ottawa and flying on the same day to other places in Canada then your baggage will be transferred by the airlines via Air Canada as per agreement between Air North and Air Canada.
Carry-on Baggage:
Carry-on baggage should be of the recommended size and stored below the seat or the compartment overhead. Passengers travelling to all destinations can carry a maximum weight 10kg baggage. Air North baggage size varies on the flights travelling to Northern routes to cities like Mayo, Inuvik, Dawson City and Old Crow. The carry-on baggage limit is one bag with dimension not exceeding 38 X 22 X 28 cm. For passengers who have booked air tickets on the flights to Southern routes like Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary, Victoria, Edmonton, Kelowna and Yellowknife the maximum baggage limit is two with baggage dimension 54 X 22 X 38 cm.
Checked Baggage:
Air North baggage weight for checked baggage is 45kg for all flights travelling to the destinations on the southern route. No single Air North baggage can weigh more than 32kg. Extra luggage will be chargeable at $30 + GST/PST/HST per piece. A maximum of two pieces is allowed.
For the northern routes, fliers can carry two bags with combined weight of bags not exceeding 20kg. Extra luggage charge is by weight and not by piece. In either route, maximum four bags can be taken including excess baggage. Excess bags have to be sent to the cargo.
Special items like bicycles, kayaks and canoes, firearms, and sporting equipment have to be taken as checked baggage.
Airport Check-in
Air North check-in can be done at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure for airports like Calgary International Airport, Edmonton International Airport, Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport, Kelowna International Airport, Victoria International Airport, Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, Vancouver International Airport and Yellowknife Airport.
But those who are checking-in at Dawson City Airport, Inuvik Airport, Mayo Airport and Old Crow Airport have to arrive at least 60 mins ahead of the departure time.
Online Check-in
Air North web check-in is the fastest way to get in for all passengers. Fliers can check-in at least 24 hours to 60 minutes ahead of the departure time. Booking confirmation number is needed to process the check-in online.

Air North operates domestic flights to Calgary, Dawson City, Edmonton, Kelowna, Victoria, Inuvik, Old Crow, Ottawa, Vancouver, Whitehorse and Yellowknife.
Along with the regular flights Air North also offers freight, passenger and combi charter services in North America and Yukon. The airline offers seasonal vacation flights to Victoria, Las Vegas, and Reno.
Air North has a fleet of 10 aircraft.
Air North was started by Tom Woods and Joe Sparling in 1977. The first aircraft was Cessna 206. With time the number of aircraft grew including Douglas DC-4, Douglas DC-3s, a number of Cessnas and de Havillards. In the 1980s Air North started cargo and passenger services along with charter services. In 2002, Air North bought its first pair of Boeing 737-200s. With these two the airlines could compete with major carriers like Calgary, Yukon, Vancouver and Edmonton. As the business grew, almost 60% of people chose Air North to fly to different places. In 2010, a new fleet was started along with a modernisation plan. A large B737-400 was bought along with a B737-500 with a Winglet. The fifth HS 748 was bought in 2012. In the same year, another 737-500 was also bought. Following the arrival of the Boeing 737s, the airline’s Whitehorse base has been expanded. Presently the airline is among the biggest private-sector employer in Yukon.
