Jewar Airport to be Renamed as Noida International Airport

The upcoming Jewar Airport which will be located in Greater Noida, has been officially renamed as the Noida International Airport. The sources say that the official logo of the airport is also out, which portrays a Sarus crane in flight, which is also the state bird of Uttar Pradesh. 

The first flight from the airport is likely to take off in December 2013 or January 2024. The Noida International Airport is expected to meet high standards of quality, efficiency, operations, infrastructure and technology making it one of the best international airports in India. The airport will be ready for operations in the next 4 years, and is hoping to enhance the travelling experience for all segments of passengers. 

In the beginning, the airport is expected to be equipped to handle 12 million passengers per year. The airport will have two runways initially, and three more of them will be added later. The Noida International Airport will surely make air travel easier for Indian passengers.
