TAME Airlines or TAME EP Linea Aerea del Ecuador happens to be an airline which was discovered in the year 1962. It is the largest airline and happens to be flag carrier of Ecuador. Its headquarters is in Quito, Pichincha Province. Originally formed by Air Force of Ecuador, the airline became a commercial entity in the year 2011. Currently, TAME Airlines provides both domestic flights as well as international flights apart from charter flights.

TAME Airlines has its hub in Mariscal Sucre International Airport which is located in Quito. The airport is located in Tababela parish and nearly 18 kilometres east of Quito. It serves as the largest hub of TAME Airlines.

Cabin Baggage: According to TAME Airlines baggage policy, passengers can carry one baggage or piece with size not exceeding 55 cm high, 35 cm wide and 25 cm in depth. The allowance for the TAME Airlines baggage weight inside the cabin is 8 kg. One must be able to lift the cabin baggage into the locker by themselves. The airline gives allowance to carry one additional personal item like portfolio, notebook, shoulder bag, camera, and more. As per the policy of TAME airlines, duty-free bag, coat, small binocular, Funerary urns are considered as hand baggage.

Checked Baggage: It is important that before any passenger checks his or her luggage, one must remove the labels of the previous flights, which will fix the data confusion issues. According to TAME Airlines baggage, the baggage must be identified with the name, city, address, and the permanent telephone number of the passenger. Hanging objects like belt must be removed from the baggage. Also, the baggage must be verified with a proper lock and security.

If the passenger is travelling between the United States and South America or between South America (Colombia / Perú / Ecuador); two baggage is allowed with each bag not weighing more than 23kg each. In case of domestic flights, the baggage allowance is one bag which does not exceed the maximum weight of 23 kg. TAME Airlines baggage size or dimension for checked baggage is 62 inches or 158 cm (length+ width+ height).

• Web Check-In – With the help of TAME Airlines web check-in, one who has booked his or her air tickets can choose the desired seat and print the boarding pass from the comfort of home or office. This facility is available for customers between 24 hours to three hours prior to the actual departure time of the flight.
• Mobile Check-In – Using this mobile check-in method, passengers can use his or her 13-digit ticket number to check-in and select the desired seat. But both the methods must be followed using specific steps. TAME Airlines check-in involves passengers to verify the information and book the preferred seat, and accordingly to get the print out of the boarding pass.
• Airport Check-In – The passengers who have made TAME airlines ticket booking should approach the dedicated counter at the airport to drop in the baggage and get the boarding pass. Passengers are advised to reach the airport at least three hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

The airline flies to Cali and Bogota in Colombia, internationally. Apart from that, TAME Airlines also provides services for the cities in United States including New York City and Fort Lauderdale. The domestic destinations that are served by TAME Airlines include Cuenca, Manta, Guayaquil, Baltra Island, Machala, Coca, Esmeraldas, Latacunga, Salinas, etc.

TAME airline was found in the year 1962 by Luis A. Ortega and Guillermo Freile Posso. TAME is the largest airline in Ecuador and formed by the Air Force of Ecuador. Named as Transportes Aéreos Militares Ecuatorianos (TAME), the airline gradually expanded in its size infrastructure as well as its services. In the year 2011, the TAME Airlines changed its legal status and no longer under Ecuador Air Force. The TAME Airlines code is EQ(IATA) and TAE(ICAO) respectively. The government of Ecuador owns this airline and it is now providing scheduled and commercial flights offer service domestically and to destinations apart from the country.
