Shaheen Air International is owned by Shaheen Foundation which is the welfare foundation started by the Pakistan Air Force. This airline is based in Karachi and serves with passenger flights to prominent cities in Pakistan and few cities in the Middle East.

The primary hub of Shaheen Air International is Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

Cabin Baggage:

• Domestic flights – Shaheen Air International baggage allowance for an individual passenger is one. The cabin baggage weight allowed is maximum 7kgs per passenger in all classes. For security purposes, only one piece of cabin baggage is allowed and its dimension must be (22x18x10) 45 inches with 7 Kilogram weight.
• International flights – The free baggage allowance will be one piece or bag which does not exceed 7 Kg for all international travellers exiting from Pakistan in all classes. Shaheen Air International baggage for the cabin is one piece or single bag with the maximum dimension of 45 inches (56x45x25cms) as per Shaheen Air International baggage size.

Checked Baggage:

• Domestic flights – Passengers travelling in domestic flights according to the Shaheen Air baggage policy are allowed to carry a maximum weight of 23 kgs per passenger in all the classes.
• International flights – For international flights, Shaheen Air International baggage weight is 32 Kg. The checked baggage allowance is the same of the passengers travelling in both Business and Economy Class.

Shaheen Air International offers only the airport check-in option for the passengers. There are separate counters at the airport for Economy Class and Business Class. Passengers can drop their baggage and get the boarding passes. For domestic flights, the check-in starts two hours prior to the flight departure time and for international flights, passengers can check-in four hours before the actual scheduled departure time.

Shaheen Air International commonly referred to by the Airline code ‘SAI’, is a private Pakistani airline with its head office in Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. Shaheen Air Cargo is a division of Shaheen Air International Private Limited that was established in 1993, soon after the foundation of the airline. Shaheen Air International (SAI) as a new airline in the country, started its operations on 10th December 1993. The first route served by Sai is Karachi to Islamabad. Boeing 737-200 Aircraft is used for the operation. The government of Pakistan found the growth of the airlines and regarded SAI as the second best national carrier at the end of 1994.
