Cabin Baggage:
Domestic flights – Kenya Airways baggage allowance for an individual passenger is one. The cabin baggage weight allowed is maximum 12kgs per passenger in economy class and business class. For security purposes, only one piece of cabin baggage is allowed and its dimension must be 55cm (L) 35cm (H) 25cm (W). Additional two accessories like a handbag or briefcase or camera or laptop are also allowed to be carried.
International flights – The free baggage allowance will be one piece of 18 KGS for all international travellers exiting from Kenya in Premier World or Business class. Only one piece of cabin Baggage which is not exceeding the dimension of L55 x W25 x H35 cm will be allowed. For passengers travelling in Economy class, one piece or bag with a maximum of 12 Kg weight is allowed. The dimension or Kenya Airways baggage size fixed for cabin baggage is 55x25x35 cm. Additionally, two accessories can also be carried with cabin baggage which includes Briefcase or laptop or camera or handbag.
Checked Baggage:
Domestic flights – The maximum size or dimension of that can be carried as checked baggage in domestic flights as per Kenya Airways baggage size is 158 cm. For economy class, the maximum weight of 23kg can be carried by a passenger. For Business Class or Premier World Class, it is two pieces per passenger with a total weight of two pieces not exceeding 32 Kgs.
International flights – For international flights, the Kenya Airways baggage weight will be two bags or pieces with each piece not exceeding 23 Kg in Economy Class and 32 Kg in Business Class.
Web Check-in: Web check-in is an online process by which passenger(s) can check-in to reserve the desired seat and take print of boarding pass from the comfort of home or office. Kenya Airways web check-in facility is available between 30 hours to two hours before the actual departure time of the flight.
Priority Check-in (Available at Nairobi): Passengers with Flying Blue Elite Membership and booked air tickets for the flights departing at Nairobi can avail this special check-in facility. The passengers can drop their baggage in special counters and avoid the queue.
Airport Check-in: Passengers who have booked flight tickets on international flights can check-in atleast two hours before the actual departure time and counter closes one hour before the scheduled time. Similarly, for domestic flights passengers can check-in at the counter from 90 minutes before the actual departure time. The counter for the same closes 30 minutes before the scheduled time. There will be separate counters for Premier World and Economy Class.
