Explore Offers for Flight Bookings

If you do not want last-minute hassles before boarding a flight, abiding by the domestic or international airlines baggage rules and regulations is a must. Know the baggage items that are prohibited on flights and travel like a pro:

Know the airline’s baggage guidelines

Most importantly, ensure that your total luggage weight is in the limits, otherwise you will have to shell out extra money for the additional kilos. Check with the domestic or international airline you are flying with, regarding the permissible dimensions of cabin luggage for your particular flight. In case your cabin luggage gets rejected for being too big, remove only essential items and check-in the bag.

Check the airline specifications

Check the specifications for your airline by visiting its website and look for a section about baggage. There are many items that are not allowed on flights. Sharp items such as knives, scissors, and cutters must be kept in the check-in luggage. Go through the list of restricted items on airline website if you don’t want your stuff to be thrown in the trash can.

Limit liquids that you carry

Most of the airlines are stringent about liquids that you carry in your check-in bags. You are not allowed to carry a product that weight above 100 ml. Pack your liquid bottles and gel in your check-in bag to pass through security smoothly.
