Sunburn, Ziro Festival, Ragasthan and many more festivals have cropped up. They show a musical side of India, that the tourists seem to love! Jaisalmer for Ragasthan
This popular music festival in the dunes has really taken over and has gained popularity over the years. Held in January or February every year in Jaisalmer, this festival brings together lots of musicians, artists, local craftsmen and even international artists from all over the world. Camping in the dunes, attending concerts and immersing yourself in art; this is what Ragasthan is about!
Pune for Sunburn
Though Sunburn originally used to take place in Goa, for the past few years, it has set up its base in Pune. Big international artists like Pitbull, DJ Martin Garrix, British electronic music group, Clean Bandit, Belgian DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike graced the event this year. Four days of unlimited fun, party and electronic music is what Sunburn is about! It usually takes place in December or January.
Alsisar for Magnetic Fields
This is another festival in Rajasthan which takes place every year. Now it has achieved a cult-like status within the festival die-hards and artists. Every year, the Alsisar Mahal serves as the backdrop for some far-out futuristic music. From reggae parties to laser light concerts; this festival is epic on another level! The festival usually takes place in December.
Alibaug for Nariyal Paani
This is a bohemian festival which takes place on the beaches of Alibaug. The beach is made to look like a bamboo and teepee village. Musicians from all over the world come and play at this festival. This is more like a community beach living without you having to rough it out. This festival takes place every December.
