Notre-Dame de la Garde, Marseille, France
This is the city’s best known symbol and is Marseille’s highest point, La Garde (162m). Built between 1853 and 1864, it is decorated with coloured marble and is a stunning sight. Don’t forget to climb the hilltop which gives a 360 degree view of the city!
