Tickets can be Booked One Year in Advance
International users can do reservations under the IRCTC Foreign Tourist Quota to up 365 days in advance through e-ticketing. The available classes for foreign tourists under this quota include Executive Class (EC), 1st AC (1A) and 2nd AC (2A) for all the trains. Currently, Indian users can book tickets in advance up to 120 days.
Confirmed Accommodation Beyond ARP (Advance Reservation Period)
If bookings are done outside Advance Reservation Period (ARP) period, then, berths are allotted by Railway PRS (Railway Passenger System) system. Users are notified on their registered number through international SMS facility.
