Precautions to Take While Travelling During The Corona Outbreak

If you’re set to travel now during the Corona outbreak, here are certain preventive measures that can be followed, so that you are at a lower risk of getting infected. 

Wear masks & sanitise your hands often: Don’t forget to carry an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with you always. Keep your hands clean, and try avoiding handshakes to reduce the risk of being infected. Use face masks to reduce the spread of respiratory germs.

Stay hydrated: Drink lots of water and stay hydrated. To ensure that your throat and mouth never gets dry, keep sipping water every few minutes. 

Wash your hands thoroughly: To stay away from infections, wash your hands using lukewarm water and soap when possible. Ensure that you wash for at least 20 seconds.

Eat and drink healthy: Ensure that you drink bottled water, and eat well-cooked meat and other food items. Avoid consuming water or food that is left exposed for a longer period. 

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth: Try not to touch your eyes, nose and mouth often to avoid any kind of irritation or infection during travel.

Watch your co-passengers: If you’re on travel and find yourself seated next to a suspected victim, please take action and inform the concerned authorities about the same. Avoid face to face contact with them too.

Don’t travel with fever or cough: Avoid travelling when you have a fever or cough, both of which are the symptoms of an infection.

Get yourself vaccinated: Though there is no certain vaccine to protect yourself from COVID-19, you can get vaccines for flu and other infections to reduce the chances of getting infected. 

Avoid crowded areas: Avoid crowded and populated areas. Hence, avoid attending shows, concerts, etc. that are highly risky during this time. 

Consult a doctor immediately if unwell: If you develop any kind of flu-like symptoms, immediately consult a doctor and get yourself treated. 

Do follow the above measures and ensure that you stay away from infections and diseases. Stay healthy and travel safe.
