In a new update, Paytm has launched Metro Train Route Planner – a feature that can be used to check metro train routes. The feature is available in all 10 cities that have metro train facility including Noida, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Lucknow, Kochi and Jaipur.
The feature not just suggests different routes from point A to point B, but also provides estimated travel time, fares, number of stations to traverse and interchanging station for changing lines. For scenarios where multiple routes are possible, it also recommends the best route, taking into account the travel time and number of times the metro lines are to be changed during the journey.
How to use the feature?
1. Go to Paytm home page and click on the ‘Trains’, ‘Flight’ or ‘Bus’ icon.
2. Click on the ‘Metro’ icon on the top menu.
3. Once you locate the feature, select a ‘metro city’ to proceed.
4. Select your origin and destination stations and click on the ‘search route’ button for route details.
5. The feature would suggest the route and also show you the journey time between the selected stations.
Speaking at the launch, Abhishek Rajan, Vice President at Paytm said, “At Paytm, we constantly think of ways for improving the travel experience of our users.
