Heavy rains have choked Mumbai in the last few days. As an effect, many trains and flights got cancelled or were delayed. We saw a surge of cancellations on Paytm on 29th & 30th August. Most of the passengers who were supposed to board the train from a station in the Mumbai Cluster (Mumbai Central, CST, Dadar, Matunga, Virar, Kalyan, Bandra Terminus, Thane) couldn’t reach the stations as the entire city is hit by floods. Many flights were also delayed which further triggered cancellations.
To help travellers in the wake of Mumbai floods, we have refunded 100% of the train ticket booking amount as well as flight ticket amount to customers. For flights, booking amount was refunded for all Indigo, Air India, Go Air, SpiceJet, Vistara and Jet Airways ticket cancellations, for flights having a departure time post 3 pm, as per the airline directive (in case a customer contacted us before departure time).
For trains, the refund has been made to all the customers who fall in the following criteria:
Date of travel – 29th or 30th August
Date of Cancellation – 29th or 30th August
Boarding Point – Mumbai Cluster (Mumbai Central, CST, Dadar, Matunga, Virar, Kalyan, Bandra Terminus, Thane)
