How to Link Aadhaar card With IRCTC Account To Book Train Tickets

When a regular IRCTC user can book only up to 6 e-tickets in a month, you can book up to 12 e-tickets in a month if your IRCTC account is linked with your Aadhaar card. Let’s find out how to link Aadhaar card with IRCTC account to book train tickets in India.

Here are the steps to be followed to link your Aadhaar card with the IRCTC account:

Step 1: Login to your IRCTC account using your Login ID and password.

Step 2: Go to “My profile” tab, and click on “Aadhaar KYC”.

Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number and proceed to receive OTP on your registered mobile number. 

Step 4: Once the OTP is received, enter the same in the given slot, and click on “Verify”. 

Step 5: Click on “Submit” to submit your Aadhaar details for verification. Following this step, your profile would be verified soon and you will be notified on the same. 

Once your IRCTC account is linked to Aadhaar card, you can now book up to 12 e-tickets using your IRCTC account. 

Adding A Passenger With Aadhaar Number

Here’s how you can add a passenger with Aadhaar number:

Step 1: Login to the IRCTC website using your Login ID and password.

Step 2: Go to the Profile section and click on “Master List”.

Step 3: You can now enter the new passenger details along with details like the Aadhaar card number, date of birth, and gender as shown in the Aadhaar card. 

Step 4: Click on “Submit”. 

Step 5: Once you submit the details, the status of the passenger would be shown as “Pending”. After verification, the status would automatically turn to “Verified”.

While booking train tickets, you can add the passenger from the Master List of your IRCTC profile, and the respective passenger details get added to the ticket booking process.
