Dehradun
This cute little hill station is located just a short flight away from Delhi (one and a half hours flight). The capital state of Uttarakhand is a busy but serene city located on the foothills of the Himalayas. The views from Dehradun from a clear day are just breathtaking. There’s lots to do here from the Tapkeshwar Temple to the beautiful Tibetan Buddhist Temple. You can also go for a safari at the Rajaji National Park.
Pangot
A scenic village located in in Uttaranchal, this cute little town makes for the perfect getaway! This is located just 15 km from Nainital, so if you want to skip the usual places, Pangot is perfect. This picturesque hamlet is known for its rich flora and fauna. You can find some beautiful species of birds here. There are more than 250 species of birds in and around Pangot.
Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary
Located 30 km from Almora in Kumaon hills, Binsar in itself is a stunning hill station. The Binsar wildlife sanctuary is famous for its breathtaking sunset and sunrise views. This dense forest is home to many species of birds and animals. In the month of March, this place transforms into a valley of flowers as red flowers bloom all throughout the area!
Darang
Located near the town of Guwahati, Darang is home to popular religious centres including Bar Masjid, Satras and Thaans. This place finds its roots back to the 16th Century, it also has a mention in Mahabharata. One can find the relics all over the town. Here you can visit the Gandhi Smriti Park, you should also see the Bar Masjid.
Rohru
A small town, located on the banks of Pabbar River in Shimla, this is a quite little hamlet. This town is famous for its apple orchids, scenic locales and the stunning mountains. You can also enjoy adventure activities like camping, hang gliding, para gliding etc.
Tirthan Valley
This is the land of untouched beauty Tirthan valley is the perfect place from Delhi. IF you enjoy solitude and being amidst nature, this is the place for you! Located just a few kms away from the Great Himalayan Park, Tirthan Valley has stunning views of the Himalayas! The nearest airport is Bhutar, but its 2 hours away.
